1/4 Little Ringed Plover and 7+ White Wagtails Scalby Lodge Pond.
2/4 Two Ring Ouzels near radio mast Stoupe Browe, Ravenscar, plus
three White Wagtails by tea rooms LRP Scalby Lodge Pond.
3/4 Two Avocets at Scalby Lodge Pond this morning but no sign
later in the day. Also Swallow, Shoveler, and White Wagtail
there. Hooded Crow seen in fields to north of the pond.
6/4 G C Grebe in the harbour.
7/4 Two Northern Bullfinches in Stile Scrub, Scalby Lodge
this morning.
8/4 G C Grebe still in harbour9/4 High tide wader counts at Scalby Lodge Pond this eve;
85 Redshank, 63 Turnstone, 20 Oystercatchers, also 2
Wigeon, 22 Teal. Male Goshawk Scalby Nabs and three
Blackcaps
10/4 R B Merganser Scalby Mills. Willow Warbler Scalby Lodge.
12/4 Shoveler and two White Wagtails Scalby Lodge Pond.
13/4 Shoveler Scalby Lodge Pond. Two Wheatears and two
White Wagtails Long Nab. Willow Warbler Castle. Kittiwakes

25/4 Spotted Redshank on flash near Mayville Farm, Cayton
Carrs this morning but no sign this evening, also 2 LRP.
Nearby Corn Bunting and
26/4 Hoopoe at Scalby Lodge Farm today, still present
this evening. Mostly feeding around outbuildings on
north side. Also seen at Cromer Point, Water Treatment
Works. Access okay along track to farm from coastal
road. Black Redstart White Lodge Farm, Langdale End.
27/4 Spotted Redshank still at flash by Mayville Farm, Cayton Carrs plus Black-tailed Godwit. Black-tailed Godwit Scalby Lodge Pond plus Swift. Swift at Yeddingham .
Spotted Redshank ( John Harwood ) 28/4 Firecrest on north side of Castle Hill at the bottom of "Dusky Dell". Common Tern and 8 Purple Sandpipers at the harbour. Male Blue-headed Wagtail with 25 Yellow Wagtails just north of Scalby Lodge Pond, also 20 Wheatears and Grasshopper Warbler nearby. Two Goshawks and two Common Buzzards Langdale End plus Green Woodpecker. Spotted Redshank still at Mayville Farm flash plus Black-tailed Godwit at nearby Grove Farm. Swifts now widespread.5
