01/08 Two Honey Buzzards and Marsh Harrier (flew west) at Wykeham Raptor Viewpoint. Spotted Flycatcher Mowthorpe Farm. Eight Shoveler Scalby Lodge Pond Wykeham Forest 4+ Nightjar

02/08 Honey Buzzard, 3 Goshawks, and Peregrine from Wykeham Raptor Viewpoint. Grasshopper Warbler just south of stile scrub, Jackson's Bay. Two Eiders, two Common Scoter and Arctic Tern past Long Nab (10.00-11.00).Bar-tailed Godwit Jackson's Bay. Four Turtle Doves Low Moor, Harwood Dale.
03/08 Honey Buzzard and several Crossbills from Wykeham Raptor Viewpoint. The gull roost at Wykeham Lakes held a third-summer Yellow-legged Gull, 550 LBB Gulls, 400 Black-headed Gulls, 500 Common Gulls. Also 2 Egyptian Geese at the lakes
05/08 Long Nab (16.00-19.00), Black-tailed Godwit south, 17 Whimbrel, 5 Golden Plover, Knot, Grey Plover, 4 Manx, Arctic Skua, 35 Common Scoters. Common Buzzard 3.5 miles from the Raptor View Point

07/08 Marsh Harrier hunting over moorland near Ravenscar at midday, also 8 Stonechats. Whimbrel south past North Bay.
09/08 Hobby from Wykeham Raptor Viewpoint
10/08 Little Egret Cayton Carrs in eve left west plus 6 Green Sandpipers. Two Greenshank, Green Sandpiper, 4 Reed Warblers Binnington Carr/Straights Lane. Wykeham Raptor Viewpoint; Honey Buzzard, 2 Goshawks, 2 Common Buzzards
11/08 Probable Little Shearwater flew north past Marine Drive at 08.30am (one north past Flamborough at 07.25am). Also Minke Whale. Balearic Shearwater 10 miles out to sea off Scarborough with 10 Manx, also one Black Tern.
12/08 Past Long Nab (5 hrs); G-c Grebe, 8 Manx, 4 Golden Plover, 7 Knot, 2 Whimbrel, 2 Bonxies, 4 Arctic Skuas, 430+ Common Terns, 210+ Sandwich Terns.
13/08 Ruff and Whinchat Scalby Lodge Pond.
15/08 Ad Little Gull Jackson's Bay.
20/08 Long Nab (17.00-20.00); 9 Sooty Shearwaters, 30 Manx Shearwaters, 2 Arctic Skuas, Little Gull.
23/08 Four ad Med Gulls South Bay
24/08 Pied Flycatcher north side of Castle Hill
25/08 Six Little Egrets at Holbeck, South Bay left north at 11.40 am, also 3 Med Gulls
30/08 Adult Pomarine Skua north past Long Nab

26/08 Marsh Harrier near Flask Inn at 11.30am
27/08 Long Nab (06.15-08.30); Balearic Shearwater, 6 Sooty Shearwaters, 6 Manx Shearwaters, 2 Arctic Skuas. Migrants included 2 Wheatears and a Willow Warbler.
28/08 Long Nab (06.00-08.45 & 17.15-19.00); Adult Long-tailed Skua south at 07.15am, 52 Sooty Shearwaters, 21 Manx Shearwaters, 20 Arctic Skuas, 135 Arctic Terns, 420 Common Terns, 2 Pintail, 2 Red-t Divers, ad Little Gull, 7 Wigeon, 21 Teal, 15 Dunlin
29/08 Nine Bar-tailed Godwits east over Scalby. Hobby south over Cloughton. Great Northern Diver south past Long Nab.
30/08 Long Nab (06.00-09.00); Great Shearwater north 06.10am, Sooty Shearwater, 3 Manx, 2 Arctic Terns, 60 Fulmars,, R t Diver.
